About Us

About the Gosford Theatre Company

GTC red logoThe newly formed GOSFORD THEATRE COMPANY was founded in 2015 by a small group of experienced, theatre based individuals to present diverse and accessible theatre in the Gosford area while providing an alternative theatrical outlet for Central Coast writers, actors, directors, musicians and technical operators.

Our further aims focus on providing a platform that can explore new, challenging ideas and showcase the Central Coasts’ finest emerging talent.

In July 2016 we presented our debut production of Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile in the Don Craig Room at Gosford's Laycock Theatre. The show was extremely well received (see REVIEWS on this website) and left audiences keen to see what we have to offer next.

In July 2017 we presented Reginald Rose's classic 1954 play TWELVE ANGRY MEN in Laycock's Don Craig Room which achieved 90% audience attendance and brought a terrific response from everyone who saw it.

In July 2018 we presented William Mastrosimone's EXTREMITIES at the HUB performance space in Erina which brought great admiration from those who came to see it and helped open discussions on this contentious and sensitive issue.

We are currently planning our next production for 2019 and will place details regarding that shortly.

We welcome anyone who would like to be a part of building the ensemble that will drive the company into the future. We will be presenting a wide range of productions and would love you to be a part of making them happen.

Keep checking this website for updates and contact us via this form with any ideas or to enquire about how you can contribute to the formation of a new theatrical landscape.
